At the 18th European Low Grade Glioma Meeting in Montpellier, France.
The workshop is divided into two sessions - motor mapping and language mapping.
Participants will be split into two equal-sized groups and after half an hour, groups switch. So you will have the opportunity two learn about both motor and language mapping:
Session "motor mapping" (30 mins)
- Introduction to nTMS pre-procedural motor mapping
- Hands-on time to practice motor mapping, guided by an experienced operator
- See how coil positioning, tilt and rotation influence stimulation intensity
- Learn why navigating the coil in real-time is crucial for accurate results
Session "language mapping" (30 mins)
- Introduction to nTMS language mapping
- Learn which types of speech errors you might see
- Hear how nTMS motor and language mapping data can then be imported into pre-operative planning software to support awake mapping in the OR
